Jonathan Willis takes a look at the Oilers' management decision to send Jeff Petry down to Oklahoma City and call Taylor Chorney back to the Oilers. Willis speculates that Petry might be the ticket to help the Barons make it from the bubble into a playoff position.

Some believe that this is a move that is due to poor performance on Petry's part as of late, and that this move will help Petry find his game and confidence once again.

A move that will help the Oilers secure a lottery position and help the Oklahoma Barons make the playoffs seems to be more than a coincidence.

Even if it’s not Tambi’s intention, its the end result. I expect one more will go down for the push when Brule returns…..I guess its going to be Fraser, JFJ or Mac in that order. Fraser and JFJ being the only 2 who could help the barons.
