What struck me immediately about Davidson was his commanding presence - good size at 6'2, 194, calm demeanour, always seemed in control of the situation if not the actual puck. He impressed me with one situation where faced with a tough play on the backhand in tight to the boards in his own end, instead used his head and his feet to "punt" the puck from the hash marks around the boards to an open teammate behind his own net, a good 50 feet away. Another time Brandon made a crafty little backchecking play, came across to clear the puck out of danger and to the safety of the end boards with two guys on him on the hard forecheck, absorbing the pressure and eating the biscuit for a moment before dumping it along the end wall to space, and out of the zone walked the Pats.
