Tyler Bunz Named Goaltender of the Week
Top 25 Under 25 reject Tyler Bunz was named the CHL goaltender of the week for the last week of October. Bunz had a shut-out and allowed just two goals in his only other start. But Bunz has actually been great all season. He's currently fourth in the WHL in save percentage (.929) and tied for the league lead in shutouts (2). I have a feeling his days outside the top 25 are done.

Bunz has also started 15 of Medicine Hat’s 17 games so far this season as well.
And his chances of making the World Junior team continue to improve. I’ve listed the other goaltenders invited to the summer goaltending camp and how they’re doing this year. In brackets is their ranking in save percentage for their respective leagues.
Tyler Bunz 0.929 (4th)
Louis Domingue 0.927 (1st)
Kent Simpson 0.913 (12th)
JP Anderson 0.911 (14th)
Calvin Pickard 0.903 (15th)
Malcolm Subban 0.898 (NR)
Mark Visenin 0.894 (20th)
Scott Wedgewood 0.886 (23rd)
Jordan Binnington 0.874 (26th)
The QMJHL has been incredibly high scoring this year, so Domingue’s numbers are even impressive than they look. But he and Bunz are clear standouts from the summer contenders so far.
I have a feeling his days outside the top 25 are done.
