2012 NHL Draft Prospect Consensus List Update
Thanks to Red Line Report's November update, Zemgus Girgensons is now in the consensus 2012 NHL Draft Top 10. Girgensons will matriculate at the University of Vermont next season, but his two-way game, blazing speed and strength down low mean his arrival in the NHL is not far off. Girgensons has a wonderful chance to become Latvia's greatest forward.
Red Line's update also pushed Mikhail Grigorenko into the #2 slot above the injured Ryan Murray and helped to continue Nick Ebert's plunge down the rankings.
Though I still don't have McKeen's November update, the updated consensus top 30 comes at you after the jump.

You should really update the teams on this! Grigorenko plays for the Quebec Ramparts, Trouba and Kerdiles play for the NTDP U18s (not U17s), and Samuelsson plays for MODO.
Cody Ceci’s production makes one believe he should be higher, while Athanasiou is still living off his big Ivan Hlinka tournament, I’d wager. Brendan Gaunce definitely looks like the top Canadian forward, IMO.

It’s on the to-do list.

Redline really crapped on the depth in this year’s draft in there last update. While they like the 1st round, the second round on is not shaping up as anticipated:
“The injuries, combined with some pretty uninspiring performances from the prospects we were counting on to fill in from the late first through the mid-second rounds, have the scouting community shaking its collective head. What had been perceived as a strong draft year is suddenly looking somewhat barren.
There’s still time for some of those who have underwhelmed to this point to pick up the pace. But as of mid-November, Red Line’s view of the 2012 draft class has soured considerably. "
Perhaps its time to consider throwing some second and third round picks into a deal for, say, a NHL defenceman?
Red Line might be over-reacting a tad, especially considering there are four months to go.

Given the low probability of 2nd and 3rd round picks panning out into real NHL talent, it’s always time to do this.

Morgan Reilly is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury. Safe to say that will hurt his draft position.
Has anybody out west (BC) seen any Kamloops games?
And can you give me a scouting report on Tim Bozon?
Since Philip McRae, son of ex-Blue Basil McRae, is starting to emerge as a scorer this year, I was interested in seeing if there was any potential for Bozon, another son of an ex-Blue, to become a better scorer than his father was in the NHL.
Thanks, anyone.
