Around SBN: Why Hockey Fans Should Root For Devils Vs. Kings

This week Olivier Roy went 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against and a save percentage of .959, numbers good enough to earn him goaltender of the week honours. Roy made 40 saves in a 3-2 win against the Reign on Friday to earn his first ECHL win and followed that up with 30 saves in a 3-1 victory on Saturday.

.925 on the season right now. Anything over .920 would be outstanding.

First year pro, not too shabby. At least we have some goaltending possibilities down the road.

My favorite part of that blurb its that he went 3-2 for his first win if ether season, but already had a shutout before that. Ah the shootout.

The Stockton goalies seem to be putting up some wierd numbers:

Roy 8GP 2-3-3 2.32 GAA .925%
Heemskerk 6GP 5-1-0 2.80 GAA .903%

To my eye must have Roy getting close losses, but Hemmskerk getting high scoring wins.

Roy had a 3-2 SOL and a 1-0 SOL earlier in the season. He stopped 57 of 59 shots in those two losses.

So does Roy move to the AHL next year and Bunz to the ECHL?

May be within the realm of possibility.

Roy is an outstanding prospect. Very excited to see what he can do in the years ahead.
