Edmonton Oilers' Ales Hemsky was named today to the NHL All-Star roster. Will we even notice the game with all of the NHL Guardian Project noise and will Hemsky have to dress up as The Oiler? This year's All-Star weekend looks to be unique from past events due to the superhero marketing the NHL has employed. The Rookie All-Star roster includes both Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle. The rookies named do not participate in the All-Star game itself, but rather the SuperSkills competition. The NHL All-Star weekend will be hosted for the first time by the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh North Carolina. The SuperSkills competition will be 5pm MST on Saturday January 29th. The All-Star game will be 2pm MST on Sunday January 30th.
