In his brief time in Providence to close out the 2009-10 campaign, Wild learned more about what it takes to play at the next level. He received firsthand tutelage from boyhood idol and current Boston assistant general manager Don Sweeney after games and at practices.
Adam Kaufman of NESN.com says that former Springfield Falcon Cody Wild will be on the top pairing in Providence this season. You may remember that Wild was traded for Matt Marquardt after his demotion to the ECHL.

It isn’t that most of us know Cody Wild as one of the ones that got away – its that we suspect he will be. One of those guys who had numbers that suggested better things than the treatment he was getting.
Lowetide published a lot of words on the subject if I recall correctly.
heh… I remember reading those and being in agreement… ahhhh… school
Don Sweeney was an excellent defenseman for a long time in this league. Andrew Ference with a bit more speed and a lot more offense.
Wild will be a player. May not go much farther than MAB but that is still a pdg career if you think about it.
