Pouliot signed a two-way deal with the Lightning but the financials aren't out yet. Pouliot is the 17th forward they have under contract but that includes everybody they have under contract. There are only seven forwards on one-way contracts, plus one more spot for Steven Stamkos and another for RFA Steve Downie. That's still leaves at least four spots up for grabs, and considering new Lightning coach Guy Boucher had Pouliot in Rimouski, this is an excellent landing place for the young forward. I know that I'll still be cheering for him to make the club and have a good season. If you're a hurting Oiler fan now that Pouliot's departure is a certainty, read Ben's "Farewell Then, Marc Pouliot". Also landing in Tampa Bay is former Oilers' assistant coach Wayne Fleming. I never got much of a handle on Fleming, but he seems like a good enough coach and I'm sure he's excited to work with a Lightning PP that has all kinds of offensive firepower. I was skeptical when the Lightning hired Steve Yzerman earlier this summer (it must be shocking that an Oiler fan skeptical of a former player in a management position), but so far, I'd say he's done an excellent job.
