Poor Marty
I like Marty Reasoner. When he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this summer, I was excited. Marty would likely get his first chance at post-season hockey since the lockout, and with a team that has a legit shot at the Cup!
Yesterday, the Chicago Blackhawks traded Marty Reasoner to the Florida Panthers. The perpetually rebuilding Florida Panthers. Ugh. If Marty Reasoner doesn't get moved to a contender at the deadline, I know which team I'll be cheering against come playoff time. Darn you, Chicago!

The thing is, I actually do want the Panthers to do well. I hope that they’re solidly in the playoffs by the trade deadline, keep Marty and ride the netminding of Tomas Vokoun to through to the Stanley Cup Finals so that he can finally get some respect. It just doesn’t seem likely is all.
