Chris Minard Signs with Red Wings

This signing happened almost a week ago but evaded my attention. He signed a two year contract with the Red Wings. It's a two-way deal that will pay him $300,000 in the AHL and $525,000 in the NHL. Minard will be best remembered (by me anyway) as being the first Oiler to wear #39 since Doug Weight. If he gets called up to the Red Wings, I predict he asks for #19.
