Robert Nilsson!
James Mirtle has put out the full voting results for the NHL awards. The only Oiler to get any votes in any category was Robert Nilsson who picked up one fifth place vote for the Lady Byng to tie Georges Laraque and several others for 54th. It's hard not to be proud of both Nilsson and Laraque. After all, they deserved those votes about as much as Henrik Sedin deserved the Hart Trophy.

Wow, one fifth place vote for one insignificant Oiler for one insiginficant trophy has to be one of the most extreme non-zero-but-damn-close probabilities this side of quantum physics. I wonder how many teams have ever been Completely shut out of all awards voting.

Thank you. I guess I should have known to come to an Oilers blog to bash on a Canuck.

We’re equal-opportunity haters. We’ll bash Flames and Canucks pretty much the same. Leafs, too, come to think of it.
