This is a bit of old news but three Oiler prospects have been invited to Sweden's World Championships preliminary camp: Anton Lander, Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson and Linus Omark. Nine forwards in total and one's presence at the camp does not guarantee a spot on the team. The man with the best chance is probably Omark who was on the team last season and played very well in the tournament, scoring ten points in nine games. Lander and Paajarvi are both looking to appear with Sweden's senior national team for the first time and may have a tougher road. That said, of the top twelve Swedish forwards it's very likely that some of them won't be available to play because their NHL team is still in the playoffs (Backstrom, Zetterberg, Holmstrom, Franzen), they played in the Olympics and may not want to compete (Sedins) or their name rhymes with Cycle Bamuelsson. All that to say, there is some chance that all three of these players make the team.
