Thunder Advance to Round Two
The Oilers' ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder, have advanced to the second round of the ECHL playoffs. They advanced by beating the Alaska Aces three games to one in a best-of-five opening round. From an Oiler perspective the three most interesting players on the playoff roster are probably goalies Andrew Perugini (.899 save percentage in four games), Bryan Pitton (busy getting shelled in the AHL), Matt "I was traded for Cody Wild" Marquardt (4 GP, 2-1-3, +2) and Jordan "The worst player in the Oilers organization under 25" Bendfeld (4 GP, 1-2-3, +7).

The next closest on the team was +4. But… he was -12 in the regular season so it just looks like he just had a really good series.

That’s actually BS. Poor Alaska and their “Home-ice” advantage.

Well, they beat them in four games, not five, so the Thunder did win in Alaska once.
