Around SBN: Stan Van Gundy Fired As Head Coach Of The Magic

"...I like everything here. I would like to stay in Russia, but I want to get something serious next year. My career will be over soon and thus I can't waste my chances."

Kevin Lowe's Jagr strategy might not work out. The superstar hunt begins anew! Paul Kariya sounds like he would fit the vision of this franchise.

Patrick Marleau is a 40-goal scorer. If I had to lay money on a whale, I’m taking him.

I remember when Oiler fans thought Horcoff was a better player than Marleau.

Horcoff is better because he can take on the toughs and Marleau would be nothing without Thornton. How is 10 doing without Ales?

If there’s one thing we’ve learned this season, it is that the gulf between Pensky and POS/JFJ would give Marco Polo pause.

I could be wrong but the last I looked Penner, POS and JFJ all have better numbers without Horc than with.

You’d like to think playing with a 5.5 million dollar talent would reflect positively on their stats but no.

Which numbers? G-A-P or others?

by Scott Reynolds on Mar 26, 2010 4:22 PM MDT up reply actions

That’s because Horcoff is on the ice against the best players on the other team.

I take it he’s over that little bit of unpleasantness from the regular season?
