The problem with judging sh% at the OHL level is that 1 year makes a huge difference for these kids. Speeds acknowledge this (he poses the question “did he just get better”?), but I often think this is the more likely scenario at this age group.

So making up stuff with absolutely no data constitutes analysis?

Example:

Tyler Seguin may beat his wife, so you better check if he is married, and whether his wife has any bruises. I’m too lazy to do that, but you should be wary of that about Tyler Seguin.

The Hockey Symposium post could app[y to any draftable player. You could have just as easily said “Be very wary of Taylor Hall”. Check out their shooting percentages. Do some due dililgence. I’m sure the Oilers are watching every single game he plays.

The article was “driveby slander” based on nothing.

Tyler Seguin is married? At his age? Bad character. Better pick Hall. And let’s ask the lady friend about his shooting percentage, if you know what I mean.
