Waiting for a Positive?

Feel good about hockey so feel good about spending taxes on an arena for Katz. I forgot how fun it is to trust the goalie in net, defensemen that can clear the front and forwards that can drive the net and own the boards.

So I wonder how long they’ve been waiting to start the PR offensive? Good move to wait till after the Russian game and before the Oilers start playing again.

And dammit, doesn’t Edmonton NEED a winter garden? Like hot water, you never knew the how much you needed it until after the idea.

For realz though. Is Katz proposing the city to build an arena (without the so-called 100M he was going to throw in), the Oilers to be rent-free, and Katz to get gate admissions for all events? So, 400/500M for jobs creations at a concession stand and the ability to tax all around the winter garden?

I guess when starting negotiations you don’t throw everything on the table, but seeing this PR offensive, I wonder if that really is close to the final desire and the plan is to pressure the govt through the people and pretty ideas.
