We have J.F. that's in a position to, you know, he's got to get himself cleared to play, naturally, but that would be a spot that we would use there. I think he's ready to go full contact. We're contemplating now if we should allow that to start in Oklahoma City as a conditioning stint, and take it from there.
That's Tom Renney addressing what the Oilers plan to do with the roster spot that will be available once Deslauriers clears (or is claimed off) waivers. I didn't think Jacques was ready yet, but it sounds like he is, which helps to answer the "What's changed?" question I had been asking. With Jacques presumably healthy, the Oilers were forced into making a decision, and Deslauriers ended up being the odd man out.

Wow. JD must feel really shitty. I mean, it’s one thing to be put on waivers. It’s quite another to be put on waivers to make room for JF Jacques. That’s gotta sting.
comepletely with you there. This means we are going to see a lot of JFJ. Whose spot does he take? Stortini or Jones? Also wasnt renney talking about needing 4th liners who can PK.
This sucks.
Sins can be forgiven but conscience is a killer.
Isn’t it obvious? JFJ will be taking Brule’s spot on the third line to play with Taylor Hall.

If that line were to play together, would they ever be within 30 feet of each other while on the ice?

Will his bionic shoulder make him better at hockey? If so, we need to get all them shits fixed in everyone now, save us some time.

i am sure he will only play 15 games or so before being injured again anyways.

Serious question: is Jean-Francois Jacques the worst regular player in NHL history?
