Anybody who says Shawn Horcoff is overpaid should be bound with duct tape, have their eyelids glued open, and be forced to watch the last two games on endless loop until they STFU.

Our man Bruce on Shawn Horcoff's value to the OIlers.

Is Malcolm McDowell in the room?

I do not understand how the MSM can keep felating NK while ragging on Penner. C&B has been over and over this, so nothing to add. Just another voice in the wilderness, here.

Also, the game threads here have become the best reason to watch this season of atrocities.

Geez. Don’t post on boards with edit buttons after family gatherings.

It all still stands, even if the middle paragraph was way off topic.

I did slightly amend the cited comment to read “grossly overpaid” but I stand by its intent. Damn, does this team ever miss Horcoff.

I don’t know, I found this piece of insightful analysis from a commentator at everyone’s favourite hockey blog particularly enlightening:

Robin, you have hit the nail on the head, except you have targeted the wrong player. All I heard so far this year is how Shawn Horcoff is “leading the team offensively” (kicking in pucks and getting the shin pad goals) and was dubbed in the paper as “Mr.Everything” (which must include turnovers).

Now as bad as Khabby played in Carolina, he did get zero help tonight against Detroit. My question is, how can Horcoff f*ck up as much as he does, yet get hailed a hero, when Khabby and Penner have the odd bad game and get labelled the goats?!? Seriously when did the memo get sent to the Edmonton media to stay off Goonie Ga Ga’s back? I wish more media types would call our so called Captain out, rather than a goalie who actually has stolen at least 2 wins so far this season.

Alrighty, then, I got the duct tape, who’s got the glue?

I recommend dispensing with the duct tape and glue and moving straight to staples.
