Devan Dubnyk's short stint with the Sprinfield Falcons came to an end on December 4th when the Oilers brought him back up to Edmonton. The three of you who watched the Oilers' on pay-per-view last night - or who were one of the *snicker* 16,839 fans in attendance at Rexall Place - may have noticed him in his familiar spot at the end of the Oilers' bench. This short time in Springfield was more successful than the last. Dubnyk played well carrying the Falcons to a victory in his first game back, making 33 saves on 34 shots in a 2-1 Falcons victory snapping the Falcons 17-game losing streak. His second start was the very next night and although it didn't go nearly as well (28 saves on 33 shots in a 5-2 loss). Solid work Devan, maybe one of these days Jeff Deslauriers' sub-optimal performance will get you a shot to start for the Oilers.
