By the New York Islanders.

This is probably the best-case scenario for Schremp; a lousy team, desperately short of offensive talent (compounded by the recent injuries to Doug Weight and Kyle Okposo) and willing to put up with all sorts of deficincies to get some scoring.

I've ragged on him a fair bit, but I have to confess that I'm eager to see what Schremp can do in the big league. I'd guess 40 points, 25 of them on the powerplay, and a minus-15 rating.

Worth a shot for the Isles

…but I fear Schremp will to his own self be true.

Good for him. It will be interesting to see how he gets used on Long Island. I admit that if I were them I would have taken Potulny off waivers rather than Schremp, but to each their own I suppose.

Ouch. What an anti-climatic ending to his career with the Oilers.
I guess it’s only fitting. Best of luck Robbie.

We should try to trade Nilsson to the Islanders too… don’t they have chemistry?

Good luck to Schremp. I was one of those pulling for him up until training camp this year, where he never showed anything to impress his new coaches. Hopefully he will catch on in Long Island and start to forge a decent NHL career. Unfortunately he’s running out of chances, and if he can’t stick on the Islanders he may end up in Europe in the not-too-distant future.

He’s only 23, so I hope he decides “Rob Schremp hockey” isn’t what will get him a regular gig in the NHL.

But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.

Good for Robbie. Glad to see it and I know his family has to be happy about it, too.
