Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Of the five players on the executive committee who voted against dismissing Kelly, four of them were Chelios, Shawn Horcoff of the Edmonton Oilers, Adam Burish of Chicago Blackhawks and Manny Malhotra of the Columbus Blue Jackets. For the record, Chelios would not say which way he voted and what his feelings were on the issue. It is interesting to note, however, he did deliver the statement from the NHLPA on the firing the day after it occurred.

Horcoff did note that he was a Kelly supporter, and it didn’t sound like he was completely moved by the evidence presented from his chat on the issue a couple of weeks back.

Interesting that Chelios and Horcoff were the two guys going out to talk to the media about this the day of, though.

Solidarity forever, I guess.

Even if the union’s divided, you’ve got to put on a good show for the press. No sense tipping your hand to the NHL before the negotiations even start.
