Copper & Blue Fights Illiteracy -- UPDATED
The first person, by timestamp, to comment correctly* on what this graph represents, wins a copy of Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, 1895-1925 from The Copper & Blue.
I thought sure Vic would jump on it, so here's a hint: one of the lines is Corsi.

The Blue Line is a rolling average of hockey related revenue.
The Pink Line is a measure of joy in the Oilogosphere.
Intersection
That intersection in the middle where joy outpaces revenue — that’s the 20 game run two years ago?

30 is the magic number
There are 30 points on the graph [in each colour]
One for each seaon the Oilers have been in the Bigs.
But that goes nowhere
Its been 30 days since the Heatley trade was announced.
The Red line represents the number of Comments on Oiler blogs/sites relating to Danny F Heatley.
The Blue line represents the number of Comments suggesting R Schremp will fill the scoring role Not being assumed by DF Heatley.
There are 30 teams in the NHL, too.
Derek hasn’t told me the answer, btw.

The red line is yo’ mama and the blue line is me.
Note that the blue line intersects/penetrates the red line twice.

How did this comment not get any rec’s?

Forgive me for actually trying to solve this puzzle, but:
- it seems pretty likely that the X-axis is the years 1895-1925
- the blue line is the size of some population, large-ish
- the red line is the size of some smaller population, likely a subset of the blue one, but possibly something along the lines of “% of people who did/were X”
Particular to the years between 1895 and 1925, the blue line represents the number of white players in the organized game of hockey in the Maritimes, and the red line represents the number of black players.
Close....
But no cigar. You had the values reversed.

This may sound stupid, but do all 30 points on the Corsi correspond to all other 30 points on the other line where they share the same x-axis, or are they completely unrelated?
