NHL Draft 2009: And That's One Vote For Zach Kassian
From Ryan Kennedy's mock draft:
10. Edmonton – Zack Kassian, RW, Peterborough, OHL. Oilers want more grit and size; Kassian has both in spades.
Kassian's well back of the best players in this draft offensively; I don't doubt that he'll be an NHL'er, but I do wonder if he'll be able to crack the top-six on a consistent basis. Besides, he's almost certainly a year or more away from being an NHL player, and probably three to five years away from having a serious impact; there's very little sense in addressing today's needs 3+ years from now.

Zach Kassian compares favourably to Brad Isbister. Isbister never reached his potential… but Kassian might.

Similar players, similar stats, though I can’t say anything in terms of QUALCOMP or TOI. I think Brad Isbister is a very good comparison for Zack Kassian, coming out of junior.
I still think it’s a legitimate question to ask whether Kassian is going to be Shane Doan… or Brad Isbister.
