Where To Watch The World Championships

Omark_medium
This is highly touted Oilers' prospect Linus Omark.  He's currently leading the Swedish entry at the World Championships in scoring (tied for 4th in the tournament) with 2 goals and 8 assists through ten games.  A few other players of interest to Oiler fans:

I got a lovely email this morning from a marketing person at Universal Sports, which is broadcasting all of the remaining World Championship games live online.  Those games can be found at the above link at the following times:

  • Semifinal 1 - USA vs. Russia - 7:15AM PT, May 8th
  • Semifinal 2 - Canada vs. Sweden - 11:15AM PT, May 8th
  • Bronze Medal Game - 7:00AM PT, May 10th
  • Gold Medal Game - 11:30 AM PT, May 10th

I don't normally shill this sort of thing, but all four teams remaining have players of real interest to Oilers fans, and they're being made available for free online.  Work commitments are going to be a pain, but I'd dearly like to see that Canada/Sweden match.

Gustavsson

Gustavsson has not looked strong in a few games. Interestingly enough, he’s given up goals from the point by being far too deep in his net. It’s interesting because the player he’s most often compared to, Lundquist, has a predilection for the same kind of poor goals.

CAN-SWE

Thank you much for the Universal Sports link… but have you tried it? The USA game right now is available only in the US. Hoping they let the Canada game through…?

Thanks, Freeze

Sorry; I should have figured that anyone affiliated with NBC would be supplying U.S.-only feeds.

It's only my opinion, but it's right.

Should have mentioned before...

All European feeds for any sports can generally be found here:

That link was specific to hockey games.
