Who Should The Oilers Draft?

Nhl_draft1_medium

I'm heading on a much-needed vacation, and I don't imagine I'll get a chance to update this site for the next week or so, but I'll leave this poll up.  I'm hoping the Oilers go after Ryan Ellis, personally.  Please note: this poll assumes that the Oilers' don' decide to trade up in th draft, and thus omits the top-eight.

Taint!

The poll is tainted by your endorsement of Ellis

Glennie

I think Lowetide is right to go for Glennie, if he is available. Ellis will be great one day, but he is not who we need. However, between Ellis and Kulikov, my vote i on Ellis

Need should not enter into the equation, technically.

It’s interesting to note that Glennie has plummeted in final rankings from the major scouting services. Is there potential for him to be the next Getzlaf? I doubt it.

If we draft Ellis and he busts we can always point to his nearly historic junior career as rationalization. Who knows what he could accomplish next season.

My vote would go to Glennie. Then Schroder and Ellis in that order.
