Edmonton - Calgary post-game: Time to throw up our hands ...

... whether that be in despair if you're still rooting on the Oilers, or in joy if you're pulling for a lottery pick. Another game, another loss to a better team. There seem to be an awful lot of those on the sked these days.

Forget analysis, it's time to bring the Armagnac out of the cupboard and get on with the show. Happy New Year to all Copper and Blue readers! May it be better than the last. Way, way better for Oiler fans.

Let me just point out first that I’m a Flames fan, but I’m not here to talk trash. I just wanted to say its rough seeing the Oilers playing like this, believe it or not. I’d rather see the Oilers doing well than the Canucks, lol. But last night it almost looked like they were ready to call it a season already. There hasn’t been much jump to their game lately. I wonder how much better they would be doing without all the injuries. It sucks having such a depleted lineup because then you can’t really see what the team as a whole is capable of doing. I can only imagine how rough the Flames would be doing if they had injuries like the Oilers do. Anyway, best wishes for the new year.

Get your trash talking out of here, Flames fan!

(note: I did not read beyond the first sentence.)

Bruce, this post-game is poetry! The title is great. The picture of Glencross goes with it perfectly (that it’s Glencross just makes it that much more awesome). And then of course the actual writing is fantastic. Highly enjoyable!

Thanks, Scott. Not quite sure how to take that since I put about 1% of the effort into this one as usual. The GlenX picture was a no-brainer to choose, esp. with the contrast to Smid right next to him.

The alternate title was “Time to throw up”.

Sometimes simplicity is the most articulate thing you can say.

Four-letter simplicity works well.

Say, Doogie, you should put your latest WJHC story up on the front page. It being a FanPost, only the author can change it. Keep ’em coming!
