Captain America Comes Alive. Schremp Has Risen

When we last looked at Rob Schremp, he was struggling on Long Island.

His even strength struggles continue as he's got one even strength point - an assist - thus far through ten games.  Schremp scored his first goal as an Islander and the best part came immediately after.

I'm glad the kid is on the board and I hope that Alex Ovechkin doesn't take up Schremp's celebration -- he'll kill Mike Green.

As Dom from Lighthouse Hockey says, the entire thing was hilarious.

Hey I am happy for the kid. He has had more detractors than supporters in the past few years and If i were him, I would have been as excited

I’m happy for him too. Hey, he’s now a third of the way to Jason Bonsignore’s career totals.

I think this could be it though. He’s still getting buried at ES. As the Islanders get better, they won’t have room for him.

Apropos of nothing, I love those vintage Islanders thirds. The NHL needs more medium-range blues and fewer navy blues.
