Robert Nilsson could learn from Ryan Potulny
Ryan Potulny made a move against San Jose that Robert Nilsson might be interested in watching and copying. Fans know of Nilsson's tendency to come into the zone 1-on-1, fake a slapshot and go wide around the net, effectively killing the play and eliminating any transition advantage that the Oilers once had. Defenders and goalies now know this too, as it's pretty obvious that they don't play the shot at all.
Against San Jose, Potulny pulled the same fake, but kept driving to the net. Granted, he was in one-on-none, but he kept driving to the net after his fake, rather than pulling up or going in behind the net. Nilsson might take a few teams by surprise if he were to do this. See below:

I think Nilsson could also learn from Colin MacDonald, who shot the puck on goal and scored.

Nilsson is capable of much much better play. I am looking forward to his second stint.
