Pat Quinn's Post Game Comments - Oilers @ Islanders
by Derek Zona on Nov 2, 2009 9:38 PM MST
What happens is, you get scared, I don't mean physically scared, maybe it is physically scared I don't know, but if you don't want the puck in your zone and you push it away from yourself or you lose the battle and then you lose the guy going to the net - they looked like the Harlem Globetrotters for a couple of shifts there. And they're not even a physical team.
--Pat Quinn, on losing the physical battle to the Islanders.
If you check like that, you lose hockey games, that's all there is to it.
--Quinn on the play in the defensive zone.
You know we sure shoot ourselves in the foot. We are a team that beats themselves right now. We have a routine shoot in and it's our net. Two guys, thumbledee and thumbledum, behind the net and it's in.
--Quinn on Taylor Chorney and Denis Grebeshkov's play on Doug Weight behind the net.
