There are areas we need to clean up, I think that's obvious in our game and we realize that, but it's seven games in and we're learning and we're trying to build and we're trying to change some bad habits that we've had from last year and I think we've taken steps in the right direction. We're definitely a better team than we were at the end of the year last year and we've got to continue to improve. It's just fun to be in the room here and have a good atmosphere and everybody's excited to come to the rink and if we can win in this city, it's going to be unbelievable. We take it one game at a time and try to improve.

If there’s one thing that’s impressed me about this year’s edition of the Oil it’s the fortitude they seem to display. Even if every win is a bit of a battle for them, all the losses have been just as hard fought. Even in the Chicago drubbing they resisted the urge to fold up the tents and had a late surge. I think Quinn’s dogged repetition of the phrase “learning how to win” has had a positive effect on this team. If they continue to learn, as O’Sullivan suggests, then I believe we’ll have a genuine team on our hands by the end of the season.
I still think that they are lacking up front and will need to make a trade.
