Report: Oilers To Move AHL Franchise For 2010-11

Jeff Deslauriers is perhaps the player most affected by the ugly mess that was the Oilers farm situation from 2005-07. Dan Cleary, pictured getting the push from Deslauriers, was another graduate a few years further back - from the days when the Oilers called the shots in Hamilton. There's a report today in the CanWest papers that the Oilers are likely to cut ties with the Springfield Falcons for 2010-11, and activate their dormant Road Runners franchise in Oklahoma City.
For those of us paying attention though, that isn't much of a surprise. Why, I think even the Edmonton Sun had one sentence on the subject back in November.
